Carbon Credits Leadership
Building upon Sumaria's pioneering success in carbon credits through Nyanza Bottling Company's biomass conversion project, the green energy division has established Tanzania's second UN-approved carbon credits project under UNFCCC. The NBCL project replaces approximately 900,000 liters of diesel annually with 5,000 tons of renewable biomass, generating 7-10 thousand Certified Emissions Reduction credits annually that are tradeable on European exchanges.
