SILAFRICA is East and Central Africa’s PREMIER plastic packaging group. It is active in 4 countries - Tanzania, Kenya, Ethiopia and Mozambique, making SILAFRICA the largest and most modern plastic production group in the region. The Group is reputed to set benchmarks for the industry in total customer satisfaction, superior value and quality and technological leadership. SILAFRICA is wholly ISO 9001:2008 Certified. In 2016 Silafrica took on a minority investment from Africainvest, in order to finance further regional expansion.
The roots of SILAFRICA began in 1975 as Simba Plastics Ltd acquired from a German family, and today it is the largest integrated plastics production facility in East Africa. It possesses all major plastics processing capabilities and is the market leader in almost all segments that it operates in. SILAFRICA is the technology leader in product innovation and design and the winner of the ARM prizes. SILAFRICA’S SIMTANK water tanks are households names throughout Tanzania. Silafrica is routinely awarded prizes for its tax compliance and product excellence.
