Tanzania's Premier Cotton Processing Facility
S&C Ginning Co. Ltd was established in 1996 by Sumaria Group to capitalize on cotton being one of Tanzania's major exports. Located in Bulamba in the Lake Victoria Region, the company operates one of Tanzania's largest cotton ginning facilities with integrated processing capabilities.
Comprehensive Cotton Value Chain The company procures unprocessed cotton directly from farmers and processes it into high-quality cotton lint bales that compare with the best in Tanzania. The integrated oil mill produces quality edible oil from cotton seed, with edible oil consumed domestically while the majority of cotton lint is exported internationally.
Community Development Hub S&C Ginning serves as a cornerstone of rural development, providing essential community services including a 24-hour medical dispensary staffed by qualified doctors, free drinking water facilities through three pipe centers, and commercial infrastructure with 38 rooms plus a well-maintained guest house. These community-focused initiatives demonstrate Sumaria's philosophy of shared prosperity with neighboring villages and farming communities.
